Thanks for stopping by my site. Here's a little info about me. I am Darryl Van Kirk and I live in Sarasota, Fl.

My wife Kathy, and I grew up in Kansas. We came to Florida to do a trade show in November of 1984 and asked ourselves what are we doing in Kansas? That was a no more cold winters decision. We’ve have been married for 40 years. Fortunately, most of them happily. That’s because she is a tolerant woman.

We have 4 grown daughters, 6 grandchildren and 2 dogs at present.

I am an entrepreneur. As such, my wife and I have started, and ran many types of businesses. From a gas station, Electronics Distribution, Satellite T.V. distribution, to an advertising businesses, to a network marketing business. The Honest Gold Guy of Sarasota is my new business.

In December of 2010 I started working on this web site, as part of the preparation for opening my new business. As I contemplated opening an Honest Gold Guy business, there was on thing that stuck in my head: All lasting business must be built on honesty.

As I am human, I can and do, make mistakes occasionally. Once I find them, I’ll do my best to correct them.

Some will agree and some will disagree with my comments about business. If you find another opinion you like better, take it up.

We really enjoy living in Sarasota. It’s a great place to live, especially as the snow piles up in our Northern states. Best of all, we’re just minutes from the best beaches in Florida on Siesta Key, and Longboat Key.
